Târgu Ocna — 35 km
The nearest resort town: 35 kilometres from the guesthouse. The main attraction is the Târgu Ocna Salt Mine — an underground town inside the salt mountain, with a church, sports grounds and air that is good for your breathing. Above ground: Măgura Park, with its monastery among the fir trees, and the town promenade.

Slănic Moldova — "the Pearl of Moldavia"
The resort of mineral springs, with its spa park, historic casino and numbered springs you taste one by one, by the glass. This is also where the officially marked trails start that cross the Nemira Mountains into the Uz Valley — you can walk back down what you drove up.
Driving distance from the guesthouse: about 50 km, via Târgu Ocna (DN12A + DN12B) — around an hour's drive.
How to split your day
- Morning — the salt mine at Târgu Ocna (its constant temperature makes it a good choice in rain or a heatwave).
- Lunch — in Slănic Moldova, near the park.
- Afternoon — the springs, the promenade and a coffee; back in the valley before sunset.
